It's a good start towards making the game more into what it was promised to be. I'm intrigued, but not excited. Maybe if the next update added better exploration mechanics or deeper story threads to […]

Seriously, why isn’t this a thing yet? Let’s make a full thread discussing our choices for Game of the Year. We’ll discuss certain games at a time, and figure out whether or not we, as a site, agree it should be a contender or at least part of a GOTY list (so, how is that happening?)
Let’s start with an easy and early point of discussion: Dark…[Read more]

You can also add Fallout 4 to my Black Friday shopping list. It was 20 bucks, and I’ve been meaning to get back into it.

Hopefully everything will work out for the best. I’d love to be a guest commentator on the podcast if I’m ever in your area. Seems like you have everything well planned out, so just waiting for the results of this venture.

Just bought a few games today. Got the Bioshock Collection on PSN, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 Remixes, and a 3DS game that’s a Christmas present for my wife (not saying in case she randomly reads this). I think I got some good deals overall, and I hope to share the wonders of Kingdom Hearts with my wife, who has never played them in her life.

I’m enjoying it so far, though I kinda wish the monsters weren’t a part of the game. Can’t mod them out (PS4 version), so I gotta live with these extremely out of place encounters. Still, doesn’t totally undermine the game. It just hinders it from being truly amazing.

Joel Castro replied to the topic Video Game Awards Airs Dec 1st, What Do You Expect to See? in the forum Shooting the Shit 8 years ago
I don’t know what to expect, honestly, though a new trailer for Days Gone or the new God of War would be nice. Or hell, maybe another “trailer” for that new Kojima project, Death Stranding – maybe one that actually shows what the game might be about instead of naked Norman Reedus displaying how Kojima felt about being fired (….I still cry).

The forum looks pretty good right now……on desktop. On mobile, it’s virtually impossible to read anything, because everything gets squashed vertically.

Playing SOMA. So far, it’s interesting. Haven’t gotten to the real meat of the story yet, but the little things here and there are really making me think. I only wish it didn’t have monsters to hide from, as the mechanics for those encounters don’t really mesh well with the kind of game it wants to be (Im less creeped out when they’re around).…[Read more]

I do. I have an Elgato Game Capture HD that I need to optimize for my laptop in order to not have video stuttering on the finished product. Audio is perfect though. Once I get everything in order, I’ll run some tests and I’ll actually be better able to create some content, both for my channel and possibly for the site here. For now, it’s touch and go.

Not sure yet. I may get the Bioshock Collection, but I also really wanna get SOMA soon. Might just wait.

Hopefully there will be room in there for an end of the year podcast of sorts with everyone. You, me, Elheber, and whomever else may wanna join. Could be on PSN to stream/capture easily, and we could just discuss all the games we played throughout the year.

Damn, holidays are tough on sites like this, huh? Hell, I work every single day this week, it’s getting that busy. But anyways, time for updates:
– Rented Dishonored 2. Depending on how far I get, I may be able to review it. Hopefully its short like the first game.
– Have also been playing Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on PS4. For my…[Read more]

Playing some Quantic Dream games recently. Namely, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. However, for the latter, I’m playing the PS4 version, which means the story is actually linear and coherent this time around. Yeah, while I absolutely enjoyed Heavy Rain (it’s one of my all-time favorites), Beyond felt really…off the first time around. I figured…[Read more]

It might make some sense, seeing as how Nintendo is ceasing production of the Wii U. It kinda sucks though.

Joel Castro replied to the topic There's been tons of VR News in the forum Shooting the Shit 8 years ago
I don’t like the current idea of VR, to be honest. I’d rather wait until something like in Westworld gets invented before I jump on the VR wagon.
