The multiplayer doesn’t do any of the truly cool shit in the campaign. This might be the only Call of Duty where the single-player is the superior mode.

So hey, I have a ship date for Air Force Basic Training. It’s January 31, 2017. From that day on, I’ll be MIA on the web for at least 2 months while I get yelled at, worked over physically, and turned into a US Airman. Super excited, but I felt it prudent to tell you guys here.

Hope you feel better, dude. This is a great site, and we hope it continues to grow. I may not be on as much either, due to getting more job hours and another thing that I’ll mention in a separate post.

Because I’m smart, I rented this title instead of buying it. I move further into the campaign, and I see signs that things are looking up for the series in terms of storytelling. No, the setup is not something brand new. It’s pretty much a mishmash of Battlestar Galactica, Mass Effect, and a bit of Destiny. However, the pacing is incredible. It’s…[Read more]

That’s right. Starting in a few minutes on Twitch (Soulharvester45), I will be streaming the main campaign of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Hope you all will join me as I tackle the campaign completely blind.

I’ve been playing quite a few “walking simulators” lately, and a few other indie type games. Here’s what I’ve experienced so far.
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – Incredible visuals, great story, STUNNING soundtrack, and I believe it’s one of the better examples of the interactive narrative genre.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter – just getting…[Read more]

It gets better. Apparently, Twitch is now wanting to let users upload gaming videos permanently on the site. It’s in beta right now, but basically Twitch is trying to be Youtube’s competition in the gaming world in terms of video content, not just streaming.

One of them is The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, a horror-adventure-puzzle game that’s kinda like Lovecraft meets Gone Home in terms of gameplay style. You do solve puzzles in the game, so that adds a bit of a mechanical twist to everything. I’ve heard good things about it, so I’m hoping it doesn’t disappoint.
The other is a little title known as…[Read more]

I was the same way, until I played Ether One. That game made me feel a lot of sadness, especially since I lost a family member to dementia. Then I played Gone Home, and I realized just how much a simple story gains just from having at least some interaction. Hell, Journey was only walking and floating, but that game is absolutely breathtaking.…[Read more]

As one of this month’s PSN Plus games, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is now available for download. I played it since it downloaded, and I have a few thoughts.
– First off, I think it’s a good game overall. Critics like Jim Sterling and Zero Punctuation may have painted this game as boring and tired and uninspired, but personally I feel like…[Read more]

Currently playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. Overall, it’s the same Skyrim experience you all (probably) loved, except with these few changes:
– Mods on consoles. Obviously. Though PS4 doesn’t have as much mod space as the Xbox One, it’s still pretty neat to see what people can come up with.
– Much sharper environmental and…[Read more]

Well we can always utilize the Youtube direct stream-to-upload system for the rolling reviews. As for your podcast idea, unless they station me in an Air Force base in Illinois, joining that would be extremely difficult for me (though a Skype group chat is just as useful if we all have good connections, or Google Hangouts until you can get people…[Read more]

Joel Castro replied to the topic Has the last game you played aged well? in the forum Shooting the Shit 8 years ago
Ehhh, plenty of overly scripted games still feel great to play for most people. I’m talking mostly about mechanics and their intuitiveness. Personally, I don’t think having too much or too little to do in a game is that big a deal.

Joel Castro started the topic Has the last game you played aged well? in the forum Shooting the Shit 8 years ago
So yeah, if you’ve played an older game recently, this applies to you the most. The last game you played: did it age well at all? Or is it an outdated piece of media compared to what we see today? I don’t really count because the last game I played was Bloodborne, and that game is only a year old, so I’d say it’s a bit too soon. However, I still…[Read more]

I feel like, in this age of video streaming, it’s become a necessity to try to add more content for the site to gain viewers and followers. Having a place where we can post video reviews, random bits of content, and even a place where we can upload eventual podcasts will keep things alive when activity on the main site becomes a bit slow (in fact,…[Read more]

If it's cartridges, then I would hope it wouldn't have to download any data directly. Of course, for digital it's different, but if you only buy cartridges, space shouldn't be an issue.

Man, you missed out with the Gamecube if that’s true. Two excellent Zelda titles, that are arguably the best in the series, an underrated Mario called Sunshine, THE best 3D Metroid games ever made, and arguably the beginning of the Smash Bros craze with Melee. Not to mention the best version of Resident Evil 4, the most comfortable controller ever…[Read more]

It's an interesting concept, I'll give it that. I just hope switching from TV to tablet will be as seamless as possible so as to avoid problems. The side controllers look okay in terms of design, but I […]
