    We’ll be sad to see you disappear for a while. Best of luck to you.

    You may find me talking to myself when you return. lol

    2 crazy years later, I’m finally in the Air Force. Now, in about 28 days, I’ll be headed to Basic Military Training. That means you won’t hear from me at all for at least 2 months. I’m very excited, and I can’t wait to get it over with so I can get back to writing reviews again.

    If you want a good puzzle game, The Witness is pretty damn great. Also, Day of the Tentacle is one of January’s free PS+ offerings lol

    So, I finally got to the final act of Final Fantasy 15000.134, and here’s my current thoughts on what it does and doesn’t do well.

    Pros:

    – ABSOLUTELY gorgeous scenery to behold! The graphics are top-notch, the art style is very much Final Fantasy, and there’s not a single place that looks harsh on the eyes.

    – Main story is simple, easy to…[Read more]

    Got Dragon Quest – Builders, which I’m excited about. I enjoyed the demo – it’s the perfect game for me to unwind after crazy work days and a month ahead full of interviews for a new job. That was the only game-related one, but I also got some pretty cool stuff including an antique kimono with some wonderful artistry on the inside

    Merry Christmas, you  lovable goofs, you. Always getting yourselves into misadventures leading to a grand moral lesson in the end.

    I gave video game gifts to my old nephews and my young cousins. I didn’t get anything game related myself; I got a Harley Quinn t-shirt and a hardcover, string-bound copy of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War.

    One of my…[Read more]

    Joel delivering the all lunar xmas gifts!

    My xmas wasn’t that great. I got more gifts than any one person should get, but spent almost the entire weekend sick and miserable. In addition you may recall I’ve been trying to take care of a sick dog while I’ve been working on the site leading to many health problems for both of us. Today was his l…[Read more]

    Only got 2 games this year for the holidays: Fallout 4 and Final Fantasy XV, the latter of which has consumed me. Got my wife Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Pokemon Moon.

    Lol its okay. And it’s a bog standard laptop. Intel HD gfx card, 4GB RAM, and stock everything. My mom has a similar desktop, but that sucker has 16GB of RAM. Everything else is average though, as far as I’ve seen. It runs Hearthstone and League of Legends like a dream, but those arent exactly heavy duty games.

    I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, with lots of games tucked under the tree to bog your social and work life down over the next few months!

    demanding on the hardware, that is – I realized that looked ambiguous and possibly douchey

    @Mastermetal

    Total War is pretty demanding, due to the high body count 3D realtime battles, but FWIW – if you were interested – you could probably handle some more recent turn-based games like Age of Wonders 3 and Civ IV (maybe V, I don’t know how bad we’re talking on the hardware end).

    @SuicideSnowman,

    It is! I keep meaning to give it a try, and also had my eyes on Space Hulk (although I’m less into the “40K” side of Warhammer, and it hasn’t exactly cleaned house on reviews)

    Sorry, that part of the site broke a while ago and I haven’t gone back to fix it(not sure why it broke in the first place). Kept putting it off because I didn’t feel we had enough content, or got content consistently enough to build the archival system. Plan on seeing something on that in maybe Feb or March, have to figure out how to handle the…[Read more]

    Sorry about the lack of an edit button, it’ll return in the first 2 weeks of 2017 when I can get back to work on this.

    Enjoyed the read, and I love that you broke down the way they did things on all these sites. I’m not sure how I write, but I think reading through the examples I bet mine was more like Destructoid than the others. Now that I have…[Read more]

    That’s pretty much why I structure my reviews in a certain way. It gives readers a way to be able to read without feeling like they’re missing the point behind a more “on-the-spot” writing style. Not that those are bad, but it takes a certain talent to make a rambling review read really well. It just depends on what the writer feels is the best…[Read more]
