I agree that it isn’t extremely news worthy.
There’s a lot of small news bits around the world that only deserve small news bits. Perhaps you could have a square on the front page dedicated to small news that fit within 128 characters or so. Stuff that doesn’t need a whole article.

Vidme (vid.me) is looking like a pretty good replacement. I already got an account on that sonbabich.

According to H3H3, there’s a special “NSFW” group that advertisers can opt-into by simply checking a box for their ads. Videos that are seen as not ad-friendly still got some ads, but only from the few advertisers that manually included themselves into all videos. Moreover, a video being classified as non-friendly wasn’t told to content creators,…[Read more]

I think it’s time to learn Japanese and join NicoNico as a replacement.
On a lighter note:

If the venue agrees to give them VIP treatment, let them have it, I say. Why so Jell-O?

We welcome you on Twitch, if that’s any consolation.

This news is disheartening. This is the type of shit that will change YT for the worse if it isn’t reversed.
I’ve got YouTube Red and I’m in the middle of trying to find out if my money goes to creators who’s videos aren’t being supported by ads; because I’m not an advertiser and I want to support even the videos that aren’t monetized from ads.

Nintendo had a half-hour Nintendo Direct dedicated to the 3DS, and there was probably nothing you’d be excited about. But I’ve summed it up below anyway just in case there was.
Fair warning: I was gravely d […]

That did stick with me too, Joel. Imagine that. It’s a trope so old that they were already subverting it in the SNES era. If I remember correctly, no matter what you did, you would be sent to jail; so it was actually just a cleverly hidden illusion of choice. Brilliant illusion of choice.

From what little I’ve heard, the story problems are at the end of the game. Like MGSV, essentially. Since I’m playing it at a leisurely pace, I’m sure I just haven’t gotten to that part yet (just like it happened with MGSV). I’m already expecting the worst; and in that way, I can’t be disappointed.

If it makes you feel any better, Rob, that’s Elias Toufexis’s real voice.
I don’t know if looting is necessarily something required for an RPG game. I don’t even know why it became a trope. Whatever the case, you aren’t some scavenger in the wastelands of Fallout trying took eek out your own survival; you’re an elite government agent trying to…[Read more]

I was invited to the movies today. The food was shit, but the movie was good.
It’s about a trio of burglars going for one last big score, a blind guy’s house, except the heist goes wrong and blind guy turns out to be a murder machine who locks them in. “Suspenseful” could be describing it lightly. A few times everything goes completely quiet and…[Read more]

I’m 22 hours into Mankind Divided and I haven’t hit night time yet. I am burning through this one slowly, taking my sweet time exploring everything and exhausting every lead.
I feel like a dirtbag playing it, sometimes. Unlike most other choices in the game, ransacking people’s homes for items and money doesn’t come with any ludonarrative…[Read more]

I believe the difference between someone who enjoyed the game and someone who did, depends wholly on how much they exposed themselves to No Man’s Sky before launch. Before I bought the game, I had only seen the reveal trailer and the small gameplay Sean Murray had done at the Video Game Awards, plus I watched a livestream of someone playing the…[Read more]

Right: To be clear, yesterday I spent over 4 out of 7 hours in DX: Mankind Divided just doing side missions and getting distracted by the worldbuild. None of that felt like filler or padding.
As for the controls, […]

I don't consider sidequests like those in The Witcher 3 to be filler. Each of those sidequests are about as fulfilling and intricate as any main quest. When I talk about “checkboxes on a map,” I mean like the […]
