  • Joel Castro started the topic Mega Man X in 3D Done Right in the forum Shooting the Shit 9 years, 2 months ago

Mega Man X was a wonderful series. It was original, action-packed, and a great sequel to the classic Mega Man. However, Capcom has decided to take the series away from people, claiming there?s not a large enough fan base to make any more sequels. If you consider the games from Mega Man X6 on, it?s not hard to tell why Capcom made this decision.…[Read more]

I have to preface this with, “don’t get me wrong, I still loved this game.” Because I did.

Anyway, I don’t buy the trauma theory. If this were Joel not telling Ellie or Tess about his past, that’d be completely fine. But this is Nathan’s wife. It’s not like the past would never come up and she’s been privy to the more elusive side of Drake from t…[Read more]

“Cinematic,” I feel, works perfectly well to describe some games or elements in them. Uncharted and Quantum Break immediately come to mind.

I think the biggest issue is that we have yet to develop a critical language for gaming that doesn’t involve taking from other mediums. We still use film-like qualifiers like cinematic for games when really, they don’t always facilitate such a thing. Gaming needs an overhaul in the way we write critique, and that’s starting to happen in more…[Read more]

Nate probably wanted to forget about his brother’s “death”, since it happened in one of the worst possible ways. That’s actually how some people deal with grief: choosing to forget it ever happened and moving on with their lives. Joel from The Last of Us did the exact same thing with every single tragedy he suffered through, if you remember. So…[Read more]

Nate probably wanted to forget about his brother’s “death”, since it happened in one of the worst possible ways, and during one of their famed treasure hunts. That’s actually how some people deal with grief: choosing to forget it ever happened. Joel from The Last of Us did the same thing with every single tragedy he suffered through, if you…[Read more]

In my rush to get my thoughts out, had only read about half-way through before the urge to post overpowered me. You’ve definitely got the same thoughts as me on “engagements”. We need the names of genres to describe the type of experience we’re looking for, and in that sense a term like “first person shooter” is noticeably unhelpful. Gears of War…[Read more]

I loved Uncharted 4, but I can’t say it topped 2. At least not for me. There were a bunch of issues that I’m not getting into in the review, but suffice to say it had a fair amount of problems. The active speech bubbles were completely out of place in this game. Some of the decisions made by the characters didn’t make much sense either, such as e…[Read more]

Seems like a great idea overall. I’m not exactly an expert on using Twitch either, but I like this idea.

I am also open to any suggestions from you guys if you can think of ways to improve the page. I’m not exactly an expert at using twitch yet, and the page is kind of bland as it is currently.

Also be sure to invite some friends to come chat with us during the shows.

Incase you missed the request in the Error Reporting section, or did not see my replies, we have a new feature as requested by mastermetal777.

I have setup a special E3 2016 event page using twitch to host live chat on the site with the ability to easily and instantly swap from one E3 conference to another without having to refresh the…[Read more]

And the responsiveness for screen sizes over 1025 is pretty much done. Stream and Chat windows are both responsive, just need to clean up the buttons a bit.

  • xsuicidesn0wmanx replied to the topic Suggestion: Live Chat System for Special Events in the forum Error Reporting 9 years, 2 months ago

I’ve added buttons for the 6 major conferences(EA, Bethesda, Xbox, Playstation, Square Enix, UbiSoft). Are there any others? Do we have any idea which twitch channel will be streaming the PC conference? Are there any new conferences to add to the list? The chat is on the gamelust twitch channel, and the stream will be switchable using the buttons…[Read more]

I always play Borderlands games with hacked save files that basically enable god mode. I wouldn’t say I enjoy the game for its mechanics, but I do enjoy the story and the wacky atmosphere. Even though it was unintentional, I do believe more games should have a god mode. If I wanted realism I’d go outside. If I wanted a challenge I’d play more Dark…[Read more]

Can’t say I ever enjoyed Borderlands. I don’t know, the gunplay never felt right to me.

  • xsuicidesn0wmanx replied to the topic What Are You Currently Playing? in the forum Shooting the Shit 9 years, 2 months ago

Pretty much how I felt, if it wasn’t for the chase scene in the last chapter I probably would have given it a 99. I just really hate those scenes after Uncharted 3. I agree this game gets about as close to a perfect score as you can get, which is why we only allow up to 99, no such thing as perfect.

If I rated all 4 of them… Uncharted would…[Read more]
