Weird that you don’t like Jensen’s voice acting. It’s not the worst gravelly voice in gaming, and it’s easily understood at least. I thought it fit his character really well.

Since there’s been so much talk about Deus Ex I decided to give Human Revolution another try. I still hate the voice actor for the main character, but I don’t have a headache yet, hopefully I can finish this fucker pretty quickly and maybe move on to the next game this fall.

Also, hooray for playing the game through BC on the X1, it loads fast as…[Read more]

Ehh, it’s a gray area in the game. Plus, it’s something that happens in almost every RPG ever

I was invited to the movies today. The food was shit, but the movie was good.

It’s about a trio of burglars going for one last big score, a blind guy’s house, except the heist goes wrong and blind guy turns out to be a murder machine who locks them in. “Suspenseful” could be describing it lightly. A few times everything goes completely quiet and…[Read more]

I’m 22 hours into Mankind Divided and I haven’t hit night time yet. I am burning through this one slowly, taking my sweet time exploring everything and exhausting every lead.

I feel like a dirtbag playing it, sometimes. Unlike most other choices in the game, ransacking people’s homes for items and money doesn’t come with any ludonarrative…[Read more]

I haven’t been doing much gaming lately, this damn fatigue issue creeping up on me again. Usually when I get to my Xbox/PS4 all I want to do is watch a bad movie and go to sleep. Right now I’m somewhat eager to see what Sony has to say in just over a week regarding Neo, and a week after that I’ll be picking up ReCore. I’m also waiting on a price…[Read more]

Man, summer sucks for trying to discuss gaming stuff, doesn’t it? Well, here’s what I’ve been up to:

Gonna rent Deus Ex: Mankind Divided soon. Maybe down the road it’ll be a full purchase, but responsibilities first.
Pre-ordered Destiny: Rise of Iron (don’t judge, I still love this game).
Planning a major stream of The Last of Us as well…[Read more]

I believe the difference between someone who enjoyed the game and someone who did, depends wholly on how much they exposed themselves to No Man’s Sky before launch. Before I bought the game, I had only seen the reveal trailer and the small gameplay Sean Murray had done at the Video Game Awards, plus I watched a livestream of someone playing the…[Read more]

How am I having the opposite experience already? I used my titan like 4-5 times on my first Bounty Hunt match. Plus, I honestly prefer the more controlled MOBA style of play as opposed to the original's […]

From what I hear aren’t they still adding things to the game? If we’re going to call them out for anything it should be releasing an alpha/beta state game as a retail release. Something popularized by games like Destiny.

  • Joel Castro replied to the topic So…this made me sad. in the forum Shooting the Shit 8 years, 11 months ago

For the most part, it is fun. But that doesn’t mean we can’t call them out when they refuse to be transparent about any changes made.

I think this is a product of creatives who can’t keep their mouth shut. aka Peter Molyneux Syndrome. It reminds me of Fable 1, where Molyneux told fans they could chop down tree’s and it’d have an effect on the rest of the story. At the end of the day I still enjoyed the fuck out of Fable to the point I think I beat it twice. I really don’t care…[Read more]

I really wanna believe in No Man’s Sky, but…the evidence is clear. I’m torn.

Damn, that was a great read. It's exactly how I feel about the game right now. I couldn't stop trying to play the new game like the original, and all I was met with was an unbalance mess.

  • xsuicidesn0wmanx commented on the post, What I Look for in a Great Game 8 years, 11 months ago

For me I'm pretty happy as long as the controls are competent. Quantum Break had some spotty controls, as did Alan Wake, but neither of those were hurt by the less than stellar controls. And I agree with The […]

  • elheber commented on the post, What I Look for in a Great Game 8 years, 11 months ago

Right: To be clear, yesterday I spent over 4 out of 7 hours in DX: Mankind Divided just doing side missions and getting distracted by the worldbuild. None of that felt like filler or padding.

    As for the controls, […]
