This Week's top Games in the UK

Welcome back! I’m sure your desperate to find out what game conquers the charts in the UK and we’ll get straight into that. Like last week the data is retrieved from GFK here.

10. Shadow of the Colossus

Platform: PS4

Position Last Week: 7th

Not a good week for Shadow of the Colossus, moving up three places nonetheless for an exclusive it’s proven that remasters are popular even with the newer generations.

9. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Platforms: Wii U, Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 16th

An amazing jump by 7 places, Zelda comes back into the top 10 after selling enough units this week to compete with the likes of new releases. Nintendo continues to support the game through DLC and regular patches.

8.PLAYERUNKOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS

Platforms: Windows, Xbox One, IOS, Android

Position Last Week: 15th

Honestly, I was surprised this wasn’t on the charts last week but PUBG has accelerated back into the top 10.

7. EA Sports UFC 3

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One

Position Last Week: 5th

Dropping back two places this week, UFC 3 continues to stay strong in the charts and is a great simulator of one of Britain’s favorite sports.

6. Super Mario Odyssey

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 9th

The Nintendo Switch has shifted over 10 million units worldwide and the latest Mario has been a popular choice for the Nintendo console. Super Mario Odyssey has climbed three places.

5. Monster Hunter: World

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Position Last Week: 4th

Even though it hasn’t been released yet on PC Brits love Monster Hunter as it keeps a steady position in the charts.

4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Platforms: Wii U, Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 8th

A mind-boggling sales record, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe drifts into a comfortable 4th place after suffering a devastating 8th place.

3. Call of Duty: WWII

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Position Last Week: 3rd

Despite the recent BO4 news, WWII stays in third place. Perhaps the new COD will boost it sales?

2. Grand Theft Auto V

Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One

Position Last Week: 2nd

Ah yes, GTA V; popular amongst the younger population of the UK, it holds the 2nd place despite its growing age.

1. FIFA 18

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows

Position Last Week: No Change

Although it may be baffling to Americans why Fifa 18 is such a popular game, to Europeans it’s a part of everyday life. Fifa 18 holds the number one spot for its third week.
