This Week's top Games in the UK

Video game sales are an odd thing. They make or break for most publishers but for others, they’re an indication of how good a game is. Ever wondered what games come out on top every week? No? Too bad, I’m telling you anyways. Here are the top 10 games this week straight from this UK chart.

10. Assassin’s Creed Origins

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Position Last week: 10th

A non-mover from last week, Assassin’s Creed Origins has proven to immerse players yet again in a historical setting taking gamers on a quest to avenge the protagonists’ dead son.

 

9. Super Mario Odyssey

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 12th

Mario proves he can climb back into the top 10 with jumping past 3 positions this week. Let’s hope he can make it to the number one spot before it’s whisked away to another castle.

 

8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 

Platforms: Wii U, Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 9th

The Switch release has brought Mario Kart 8 back into the charts 4 years later and it’s looking better than ever.

 

7. Shadow of the Colossus

Platform: PS4

A remake of the classic PS2 game, the PS4 version of Shadow of the Colossus holds 7th place for a second week.

 

6. Metal Gear Survive

Despite its rising controversy Metal Gear Survive enters the charts with a stable sixth place but how long will it hold that spot for?Will it get to number one?

 

5. EA Sports UFC 3

After the recent Connor Mcgregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight, there’s no doubt an increase in the interest of boxing has risen and what better way to do it virtually? UFC 3 climbs up one place.

 

4. Monster Hunter: World

Position Last Week: No Change

Another no changer and now the 10th best selling title for PS4 (2 million copies sold), Monster Hunter World keeps it’s comfy fourth spot and has no intentions of moving backward but only upwards as we gear up for a PC release.

 

3. Call of Duty: WWII

Position Last Week: 8th

Listening to the fans about the oversaturation of futuristic settings in the Call of Duty and going back to second world war roots paid off for Activision as they climb 5 places this week.

 

2. Grand Theft Auto V

5 years on and GTA V is STILL in the UK charts? You Brits love buying GTA!

For a second week Fifa 18 claims the top spot proving a favourite for not only gamers but casual fans of football across the UK.
