National Health Service workers in the UK are set to receive a ton of video games for free.

British trade body UKIE have partnered with Keymailer to launch the Games for Carers scheme, which gives people who work within the NHS and their families access to a free game or subscription, donated by game devleopers and publishers.

Currently, there are over 85,000 games up for grabs.

Anyone who works within the National Health Service in the UK can sign up here with their NHS email to get started. From there, they will be able to browse through the games on multiple platforms, Including PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS and even the PlayStation Vita. Once a game is chosen, they are emailed a code which will redeem the game on their respective platform.

So far, dozens of companies have contributed to the scheme including EA, Codemasters, Team 17, Xbox (all of which have studios located in the UK) and many, many more. It is not known how long the promotion will last for.

There are an estimated 1.5 million people working in the National Health Service (the UK’s largest employer). These men and women have been responsible for ensuring that the UK gets through the Coronavirus pandemic, a job that isn’t easy.

The UK have shown their support for their brave workers with the ‘clap for our carers’ even every Thursday, in which people across the UK clap (and sometimes use objects) to show their support for the NHS.
