Steam has supposedly leaked the next game in the series known for a protagonist who likes to blow things up.

The fiasco occurred today through Steam’s ad popup that starts up with the popular online distribution platform. Everything was as per usual until some users saw a picture of Rico with his back turned to the camera, adjacent to what resembles an African tree.

From where I’m standing, it looks like Just Cause 4 is all but confirmed for an E3 reveal but as a professional journalist, I’m inclined to tell you to take this mistake with a grain of salt. Considering Generation Zero has probably been a major project for the team, it’s hard to believe the game is being announced this early. Nonetheless, it’s great to see Rico on the global stage once again.

Square Enix’s E3 conference will take place on Monday 10 AM PT.
