Ubisoft has started sending out invites to the Rainbow Six: Siege beta test today. Waves of invites began rolling out as early as 6 a.m. PDT, and will continue throughout the weekend until the end of the beta this coming Monday, September 28th. Ubisoft has stated that the goals for this beta test is to gather data on the games online infrastructure and matchmaking systems on a wider level than the alpha tests so far. However, this IS a beta test, so don’t be surprised if you do experience some connectivity or matchmaking issues during the test.

“Known issues, emergency outages, and server maintenance times will all be communicated on the official forums and subreddit so please pay attention to those places for the latest info,” Ubisoft said. A list of current known issues is available here. Ubisoft has described this beta test as a “small sample of the full scope of the game.”
