PlayStation Plus to Halt PS3 and Vita Free Games in March 2019.

												

								
If you were wondering why Sony would give away such amazing games this month we might have the answer for you. Sony included some ‘additional service changes’ towards the bottom of today’s PlayStation Plus free games announcement. As of March 8th, 2019, Sony will no longer include PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita titles to Plus subscribers, opting to provide two PlayStation 4 titles and nothing else going forward.


Though, to be fair, this isn’t exactly surprising. PlayStation 3 support is winding down and Vita never really had any support. If anything is a surprise, it’s that Sony has not replaced those two platforms with free PlayStation VR titles.


Games downloaded through PlayStation Plus on PS3 and Vita will remain in your game library as long as you remain a member of PlayStation Plus.
