No Man's Sky Biggest update yet

Last night, Hello Games founder and programmer Sean Murray has confirmed multiplayer will be due out in the latest update to No Man’s Sky.

Yesterday was the third episode of the new show called Inside Xbox. It’s a web series presented by none other than Larry Hryb and co. The episode had some heavy hitters on the bench; State of Decay 2, Forza 7, PLAYERUNKOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS and, No Man’s Sky? Yep, Sean Murray appeared in public to talk about the game for the first time since release and oh boy was it a memorable 10(ish) minutes.

During the interview, Sean gave us a release date of 24th July for the Xbox version and the NEXT update. Murray promised multiplayer will be a “full multiplayer experience” with activities such as building “tiny shelters or complex colonies”, hinting base building will be expanded in the latest update. Sean also explained why he doesn’t reveal update info, claiming he wants to ‘surprise’ people.

And surprise he did.

Since the interview, He’s been active on Twitter, replying to fans and even went as far to post a Steam forum post written after the show on Thursday night:

No Man’s Sky NEXT is out July 24th.
