PAX East revealed a lot of goodies that many of us will enjoy! First off, they announced there will be a new champion coming to the game. Strogg, who has to fight his way out of the Dreamlands, tries to get back into contact with his asshole warlord, Makron. He even has a little drone buddy called Peeker who can scout ahead, shoot enemies, or become a suicide bomber. When you kill people, they’re turned into a new pasts called Stroyent that gives you 25hp. Next, there is brand new map called Awoken. It’s a labyrinth like ruin in a tropical forest that gives off an eerie appearance with the misty atmosphere. It’s available for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Duel, 2v2, and Instagib.

Even the Disruptor Plasma Gun from Quake 3 has been brought into play. It’ll be melting fools the same way you melt your food in-between your gaming sessions. The scheduled Esports bloodbath will feature Dreamhack tours in may with no prior qualifiers, QuakeCon Open at QuakeCon 2018 in August, minor event at PGL in October, and Quake Champions Invitational at Dreamhack in December for LAN events. Online events will be the Collegiate Star League in June and more online tournaments weekly and monthly.
