Horizon: Zero Dawn Possibly Delayed To Early 2017.

One of our most anticipated releases for 2016 might not hit store shelves until the early part of next year.

We don’t want to make a habit out of writing a report based on a rumor, and let it be known this is just a rumor, but the source of this rumor has a near flawless track record of dropping insider information well before it is made public. Posting on his twitter today, popular NeoGAF user shinobi602 broke news that one of the bigger new IPs exclusive to the Playstation 4 would be getting delayed until early 2017. He later added that his comment regarding a PS4k version “was not meant as anything more”.  Though with all signs pointing to the Playstation 4k being a reality, this delay certainly would help give the team at Guerrilla plenty of time to spice up the graphics to support the new Playstation hardwares ‘Neo mode’.

Shinobi602 is most known for leaking details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 several months early, as well as the most recent leak concerning Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 being set in the ‘very very distant future’ . More recently he revealed some small details for Sony Bend’s new Playstation 4 exclusive which will be called Dead Don’t Ride, and will feature motorcycle combat in a post apocalyptic setting.

Although we are sad to learn that this game is likely to be delayed, we are quite confident the game will be absolutely stellar, and cannot wait to get our hands on it early next year. Let us know your thoughts on this development in the comments below.
