Note: This article will be updated periodically throughout the day as new trailers and information become available.

Although Gamescom 2016 doesn’t officially start until August 17, 2016 that hasn’t prevented the party from starting early. Game publishers from around the world have begun dropping gameplay footage and new trailers for the games they’re showing off at the show this year. This is a collection of those game trailers and gameplay footage we have discovered so far, plus a few bits of news. I will be adding these in the reverse order from which they are discovered so the newest trailers will be featured at the top.

Star Wars Battlefront – EA announced that the X-Wing expansion for Playstation VR will be a movie tie-in for the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One. James Svensson, a producer for Battlefront, said “Rogue One is in the same time period the base game covers, so to be relevant in the ever-evolving Star Wars universe we’ve since been able to work with Lucasfilm to make the connection here.” Svensson also indicated that players will end up fighting a Star Destroyer with “a belly full of TIE fighters.”

Mass Effect Trilogy – EA Studios Executive Vice President Patrick Söderlund indicated that EA may be relaxing it’s stance on remasters. “What’s changed is that there is proof in the market that people want it, maybe more than there was when we spoke [in 2015]. There were some that did it before, but I think there is even more clear evidence that this is something that people really want.”

Heroes of the Storm – Zarya, a popular character from Overwatch, is being added as a playable character in Heroes of the Storm. Zarya will be a ranged warrior similar to Rexxar with all of the same abilities she has in Overwatch.

Gears of War 4 PC – Microsoft announced the minimum, recommended, and ideal specifications for playing the 4K enabled Gears of War 4 on Windows 10 PC’s.

Titanfall 2 – Titanfall 2 will have two open beta tests on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on August 19-21 and again on August 26-28. The beta tests will include 3 modes(Bounty Hunt, Pilots vs Pilots, and Amped Hardpoint) and 3 maps(Boomtown, Homestead, and Forward Base Koda). Bounty Hunt is a 5 vs 5  team death match with bots thats sounds similar to Warzone from Halo 5. Pilots vs Pilots is your classic 8 vs 8 Team Death Match. While Amped Hardpoint is a new 6 vs 6 mode where defending hardpoints now amp the rate the team scores points. Amped Hardpoint and the Forward Base Koda map are only available during the second weekend Beta Test.

Windows 10 – The Game Preview Program currently on the Xbox One console is headed to Windows 10 PC’s. Similar to Early Access on Steam, Game Preview lets you play unfinished games while helping support the developer financially and by providing feedback as they finish the game. Microsoft also announced that Everspace by Rockfish Games will be one of the first titles available on Game Preview for Windows 10.

Xbox One S – EA Sports announced another Xbox One S bundle, this one featuring FIFA 17. The bundle will come in 500GB and 1TB versions and include a copy of FIFA 17, three Ultimate Team Loan Legends, and a one month subscription to EA Access.

It appears that Bungie will have a live stream of Rise of Iron and EA Games will be streaming from the show floor, both on Twitch and also starting at 1PM Eastern/10AM Pacific.
