Without warning, prelude, preview, or fanfare, it has been delivered to your console. Destiny Update 2.0.0.4 is live. With the game boosted into orbit, the Live Team is set to take over with their stewardship. The biggest change is being applied to the Three of Coins, a new consumable item sold by Xur each week which increases the likelihood that an Exotic engram will drop the next time you kill an Ultra(yellow health bar with custom name). Bungie says the item “now provides a smaller increase in Exotic engram drop chance when rapidly killing Ultras.”

You can read the list of Patch Notes here. A copy of the changes has been included below.

Destiny 2.0.0.4 Hot Fix Notes.

  • General – Fixed an issue with Year 1 Moments of Triumphs in which Golden Chest node completions were disappearing after TTK release.
  • Activities – Quests – Fixed an issue where players who reached Level 40 before turning in the Reach Level 30 objective did not properly receive the Level 40 quest.
  • Activities – Quests – Fixed an issue where the quest “High Value Targets” did not correctly reward Legendary Marks upon completion.
  • Activities – Strikes – Fixed an issue where Year 1 Strikes were not dropping Uncommon and Rare quality gear as intended.
  • Activities – World – Some treasure chests in the Dreadnaught are now in a location that only allow them to be looted once per spawn.
  • Xur – Three of Coins now provides a smaller increase in Exotic Engram drop chance when rapidly killing Ultras.
  • Inventory – Dismantling leveled-up Exotics now have a reduced chance to produce 2 Exotic Shards.

According to Bungie, “This is just the beginning. With a year under their belts, the Live Team is a lot more nimble in terms of supporting the player experience. Your next update should land in October. That bundle of fixes and tweaks will contain some more of what you’ve asked for, along with some developments for Year Two we’re looking forward to talking to you all about.”
