Bloons creator Ninja Kiwi and Cartoon Network have publicly announced Bloons Adventure Time TD – a crossover between the game and the show – is going to be on our screens by the end of this month. Specifically, 30th August.

The mischievous (and apparently animated) Bloons have invaded the lands of Ooo – setting of the hugely popular Adventure Time series (which is coming to its finale this September). With the help of familiar faces from the show, our monkey friends set out once again pop them Bloons using any means necessary. Everyone’s here; Jake, Finn, Princess Bubblegum. Even the Ice King!

As far as gameplay goes, the game is no different from its predecessors. The concept of planning your defences accordingly and managing a handful of traps and towers strewn across the map remains a familiar experience but this isn’t just a re-skin. There are 38+ tracks in the game with 51 defences to choose from. There’s also 15 heroes (18 if you count the three premium skins) to deploy, each a recognizable face to Adventure Time fans. You can equip these fighters with 200+ weapons to tackle the tough Bloons who come in 18 different variates including zombie Bloons. Did I mention this is the first title in the franchise to feature a 3d world?

Bloons Adventure Time TD got a soft launch in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore back in mid-July who’s players gave the game glaring near 5-star reviews. the title is yet to be released into the western world. Until now, that is. Today when Cartoon Network uploaded the trailer (found above) on their YouTube Channel and quietly dropped a release date in the description. Users can pre-register on their android (5.0 and up) or iOS device.
