Aragami gets a new edition and Xbox One release
I defy you to tell me that there is someone on this Earth who doesn’t want to be a ninja. And if you say you don’t, I am calling you the liar that you clearly are. Therefore, to everyone on the planet, Aragami not only lets you be a ninja but a ninja with supernatural powers. This game has been out for quite some time now, but there is a new edition coming soon so it’s worth talking about again.
Back in late 2016, Aragami was released for the PlayStation 4, PC, and, strangely, Mac. Fast-forward to present day, and a complete collection called the Shadow Edition is announced. This edition will include the game along with all previously released DLC and the upcoming expansion. No official release date has yet been confirmed, but the website has promised that it will be coming “soon.” What will be even more exciting for some is that it will also be released on Xbox One at that time.
For those who have heard nothing of this game up until this moment, allow me to enlighten you. Aragami puts you in the shoes of an undead ninja attempting to rescue a woman named Yamiko who brought you back to life. Along your happy trails, you will have to murder several people. How you decide to do that will be completely up to you. You can either go in and slaughter everyone unfortunate to be on guard duty that night, or you can sneak around them and only kill your target.
That’s the game in a nutshell. Except I have left out the most interesting part. Your ninja assassin can control shadows. At first glance, that sounds like the lamest Avenger to have died in Infinity War (too soon?). But what that actually means is that you can create shadows wherever you want and even teleport between them. In the shadows you are invisible, so this trick can be incredibly handy. There are many different abilities that you can unlock throughout the game but the best one is you can summon a shadow dragon to vanquish your foes. If that doesn’t get you excited then, perhaps you didn’t hear me. You can summon a fucking dragon. I rest my case.
You can play Aragami today on PlayStation 4 and PC. If you want to play it on Xbox One, you will have to wait until the Shadow Edition is released in the near future.
