Nintendo are holding an end of year sale in the European eShop, with nearly 900 games on sale.

The event was announced a few days ago, just going live yesterday. While Nintendo’s own games aren’t included in the sale, there’s a good majority of titles worth picking up for your Switch with up to 80% off. As a UK resident, this is great news. I’ve decided to highlight some of my personal favorites:

2019 has been a successful year for the Switch; in September 2019, it was announced that the Nintendo Switch had sold 41 million units since its release in 2017. These figures do not include the newly launched Nintendo Switch Lite, which has been a success in its own right, managing to shift 1.95 million units sold within its first 10 days of release in September 2019. Needless to say, Nintendo’s new portable console is going down well and is a great alternative for people who only want to take their Nintendo Switch on the go without having to dosh out an extra $100.

The Switch lineup has also been much stronger than the last 2 years, with over 250 physical titles available, and many more on the eShop.

The European holiday sale will last until January 2nd, 2020.
