New info seemingly on the way
Hideo Kojima has revealed that new Death Stranding info is heading our way this week.
The 55 year old veteran game developer tweeted yesterday from his English account, sharing a short video with the words ‘create the rope’:

Then earlier today the Kojima Productions Twitter account put out the following tweet, confirming we will be seeing some form of new Death Stranding information on Wednesday the 28th May:
The countdown of #DEATHSTRANDING has started… May 29th.

Fans have begun to speculate on whether Kojima will be showing off a new trailer, and even announcing a potential release date for the game, which was first shown off in 2016. Others are taking a more pessimistic approach and are setting their expectations low for what’s to come however from the wording of the tweet, it sounds like big news for a game we are yet to know much about.
What we do know however is that the game is titled ‘Death Stranding’ and was first shown off at E3 2016 as Kojima’s first title since his departure from Konami, the company with whom he created the legendary game franchise. Details surrounding the plot of Death Stranding have been cryptic but the game is heavily tied in with the theme of life and death as the gameplay trailer reveals babies are involved.
The game will feature voice acting from industry legends Norman Reedus and Troy Baker, as well as Emily O’Brien and Mads Mikkelsen.
Death Stranding’s delay between its gameplay reveal and its yet to be announced release date has come under criticism from fans, but it’s likely Kojima will be telling all this Wednesday as he recently started showcasing the game to others, like explaining the concept to long time friend and prominent journalist Geoff Keighly and showing gameplay to staff at Guerrilla Games.
