Numerous games were showcased at the Electronic Expo last week, each complete with their own quirk. Here’s one of the many.

Sable is a game. Sable is a game about zipping around a cel-shaded alien planet in pursuit of a personal journey and it’s fucking gorgeous; everything down from the terrain to the futuristic pod racer as you uncover the history of the strange open world filled with places to discover. The best part? You’re not alone.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a fan story-driven titles because I prefer to doss about in spacious worlds but Sable gives me a chance to do both on a picturesque planet that’s more than a floating rock in space. Hell, the game isn’t even out yet and I already get jitters from visiting the store page which gives me a vague 2019 release date and leaves me dying to uncover what exactly is the story behind Sable.

Sable releases sometime in 2019 for the PC and Xbox One.
