Youtuber dies of cancer aged 33
The PC critic John Peter Bain (known as TotalBiscuit) has died at the age of 33.
TotalBiscuit ran a Youtube channel under the same name where he reviewed PC games in 30-minute videos. His films garnered hundreds of thousands of views as he provided a unique take on his two cents of the games. Below is an example of one of his latest review:
Bain retired from his Youtube channel (which has 2.2 million subscribers) in April due to his cancer spreading from bowel to the liver; he knew that time was ‘running out’ for him and on the 24th May he passed away at the age of 33. Tributes have been pouring in for the famous critic:
We've lost a great critical thinker today, but @Totalbiscuit influence on the industry will not be forgotten. You've inspired so many gamers to be smarter about their fav pastime. I fondly remember matching XCOM wits & trading photon torpedoes in our board games. RIP. Miss u man! pic.twitter.com/nzs4Ot4e2V

I'm terrible at goodbyes, John. You were my mentor, partner, and most importantly – friend. You always tried to act so serious, but were really a giant goofball. Getting you to show the world that was my constant goal and supreme joy. Thank you for being in my life @Totalbiscuit pic.twitter.com/4PqMAk9U3K

John Bain's opinionated game critiques and sense of humor led to him becoming one of the most prominent voices in the gaming industry. The emote bearing his face represents the indelible mark that he has left on Twitch.
Thank you for everything, TotalBiscuit.

Perhaps the most touching tweet was the one that his wife wrote, which included a poem:
Rest in Peace my Dearest Love
John @Totalbiscuit Bain

David Crooks, on the other hand, took it upon himself to start a Twitter rant (which can be found here) on TotalBiscuit which criticised for giving his games bad reviews. This childish behavior led to Crooks hiding his account out of pure shame.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to John Bain’s family at this time as we have lost truly a trailblazer in video game reviews.
