Adventuring has its consequences
If you are of the mindset that zombie games have been done to death (pun intended), then I honestly don’t know if Strange Brigade will be a game for you. Are mummies considered zombies or are they a different breed of monster? As you consider one of the universe’s unanswered questions allow me to introduce you the world of Strange Brigade.
Throw yourself back in time to the 1930s and get ready to explore the tombs of Egypt. Except for one small problem. All this reckless adventuring has awakened a Witch Queen named Seteki, and she is pissed. She will be sending a whole manner of creatures after you for waking her an eternity too early. These creatures, of course, include mummies and also Minotaurs, strangely. It is thought that the Minotaur originated in ancient Egypt, but I prefer to think Seteki is in cahoots with a Greek god.
Strange Brigade is quite an appropriate name as the group of four adventures that you can play as are all quite different. At least in the way they look. They are all likely to have their own attributes and skills but that is not something that has been revealed at this point. What is known is that there will be up to four player co-op throughout the game. Basically, I’m picturing Dead Island in Egypt with stranger weapons. It will also be 3rd person. So nothing like Dead Island while being exactly like Dead Island.
We can all start exploring, puzzling and shooting on August 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
