If you’re looking for another hardcore Action RPG to bash your skull with we’ve got fantastically horrible news. Focus Interactive and Deck13 have announced a renewal of their partnership to develop a sequel to one of this generations sleeper hits, The Surge.

Deck13 promises to keep the “hardcore combat utilizing a unique, dynamic limb targeting system and deep character progression” from the original game “while also expanding greatly upon the formula.” That means an expanded combat system that is “more brutal and tactical than ever” along with new abilities, weapons, implants and drones that “give players a vast arsenal to build their character with.”

Stay tuned as Focus Interactive will have more details to share at their Le What’s Next de Focus press event today and tomorrow in Paris. The Surge 2 will be available on PC and consoles in 2019.
