BattlEye Tweets some Concerning Statistics

Feb 5, 18  | posted by Alex (2382)

6,000 - 13,000 players banned per day

BattlEye has released a statement on their Twitter account proclaiming “We have banned over 1,044,000 PUBG cheaters in January alone, unfortunately things continue to escalate.”

This is an astonishing amount of players to ban in one month and outlines a clear problem in the PUBG community. BattlEye have not given any further details on whether the bans were mostly on PC or Xbox One but we do know that back in October the game was seeing between 6,000 and 13,000 players banned per day on PC.

The official PUBG Help Twitter account has responded to the statistics with an upcoming patch for PC that will install an anti-cheat update on the servers. The update is scheduled to go live on February 5th 6pm PST. A detailed forum post was attached to the tweet that explained popular cheat applications like ReShade will be detected when the player launches the game. Instead of banning users Bluehole has decided to force the game to stop launching until the program is removed.

Programs like Nvidia Shadowplay and any kind of recording software have temporarily been blocked but Bluehole has insisted that they will be “dealing with these cases as soon as possible”.
