Hello Everyone,

From the start, I just want to say that this is my personal experience playing Assassin’s Creed Origins. Assassin’s Creed Origins has taken the gaming community by storm. It seemed as if the franchise was going to churn out Assassin’s Creed games every year with minor improvements. However, this new game has delivered on what it said it was going to do and then some! What we see with Origins is a complete revamp of the series! Everything is new and fresh when you first start playing.

Graphics:

I first want to talk about the graphics of the game. Some people on social media have said that it isn’t that great while others have said it is amazing. I’m here to tell you right now that the graphics are absolutely stunning! I thought Syndicate’s graphics were top notch, and then they took it even further. No matter what location you are at within this game, the visuals electrify you every step of the way. Everything from the trees, the Great Pyramids, the water, the sky, the buildings, and everything else is crisp. Sometimes, I’ll just walk Bayek slowly through the towns to see every detail. This is the best look Assassin’s Creed game yet!

Combat Mechanics:

Secondly, the combat mechanics are spectacular! I do love to see those beautiful chain kills from original games, but I believe that the new system is a great improvement. It gives the combat new life that makes the gameplay enjoyable. It takes skill now to take down many of the enemies in the world. Sometimes, angling the view with the right thumbstick can be tricky, but it doesn’t take away from the overall combat mechanics. Large and shielded enemies prove to be a fair challenge which makes victory over them that much sweeter. Don’t think the sick kills are gone though. The new combat system comes with a power bar unique to the different weapons in the game, which make for some pretty satisfying kills. Even regular kills sometimes show the cutscene kills.

Story:

The story is one that captivates you from the very start! It pulls you and makes you feel a part of the devastating scenes that appear before you. The drama holds you until you get back into the action for some sweet revenge. The story never lets the player down as it is a driven focus that keeps you coming back. It is definitely worth several playthroughs and never ceases to amaze. It brings to life the characters within it and gives it a real purpose that is hard to beat!

Size of the Game:

The biggest thing I love about this game is how massive it is. All Assassin’s Creed games feature an open world to explore, but this is by far the largest one yet. I can spend days just in one location doing missions, but I can spend even more time in one location just completing smaller activities. Once I realize how long I’ve spent in one location, I see I still have so much land to cover. You will not be disappointed with how much exploration you get to do. Use Bayek’s eagle Senu to fly up and get a magnificent view of the vastness that is Origins. It is quite literally, breathtaking.

Gear and Skills:

Another great addition to this game is the new Destiny like gear and skill system. Everything you do gives you skill points that go towards a skill tree. The tree has Warrior, Hunter, and Seer. Warrior deals with everything melee related. The Hunter is for all your bow skills. The seer is more for your tools and other skills like assassinating an enemy while he is on his horse. These skills do the player justice as each new skill gained is another weapon in your arsenal to take on the baddies. The gear system is set up a little like Destiny’s gear page, but it is still nice to have. Killing enemies and looting chests will give you new weapons that you can choose to equip or sell at an armorer. These two additions make the game much more fun and the replay value is great!

I can honestly say this is one of my all-time favorite games! Everything about is so much fun, and I can’t help to spend several hours playing it at a time. Everything just meshes so well together that even little bugs here and there do not matter whatsoever. I would rate this game at a five out of five for the overall game experience. I recommend getting a copy of this game and devoting your time to exploring the wonders it displays.
