Throughout the day users of both Microsofts Xbox Live and Sonys Playstation Network have been experiencing some isolated issues connecting to their respective online network. Gamers on both networks reported issues with sign-in problems, leaving them unable to view their friends list, send message, play online games, and in some cases, unable to play digitally downloaded offline games.
Microsoft confirmed the issues on its Xbox Support page, although the status page itself has also been unreliable. While Sony confirmed their issues through their AskPlaystation Twitter page.
