Valve Releases Free to Play Version of CS:GO

Valve has released a free to play version of CS:GO for anyone who owns a Steam account to try out. On the Steam page, a new button appears titled ‘Play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Free Edition’.

The free to play iteration of CS:GO comes with offline play with bots. You can also watch e-Sports matches through GOTV which allows viewers to change the camera angle as if they were in the match. Before, viewers who didn’t have CS:GO would have to watch through the Twitch camera. CS:GO Free Edition also comes packaged with the new Panorama mode which is being met with mixed reviews in the community.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is out now on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One
