UK Video Game Charts: 13th – 17th August

Welcome to this week’s UK Video Game Chart or the pre-Gamescom chart. This week we see Wellington Wells merrily stroll into the charts with the return of some absent titles.

10. We Happy Few

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Position Last Week: N/A

Have you taken your joy? Because if you haven’t, you’re missing out on the bliss of post-war Britain. We Happy Few crawls into the number 10 spot.

9. Super Mario Odyssey

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 8th

What is there to say about the plucky Italian man who has dominated Nintendo for years? Well, Super Mario Odyssey stays in a firm 9th place.

8. Overcooked! 2

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: N/A

Overcooked! was a roaring success, praised for being a silly cooking arcade thing that ‘teached’ you how to cook, or overcook. Either way, Overcooked! 2 reaches 7th place for its debut on the charts.

7. God of War

Platform: PS4

Position Last Week: No Change

God of War continues to stay in the charts at a solid 7th place.

6. Call of Duty: WWII

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Position Last Week: No Change

Another non-changer, Call of Duty: WW2 claims 6th place for three weeks in a row.

5. Madden NFL 19

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Position Last Week: N/A

A new entry! Football (or American Football to Europeans) is popular in the US, but who would have thought Britons enjoy a game from their transatlantic cousins?

4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Platforms: Wii U, Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: 3rd

No matter how many iterations of the Video Game Charts I do there will always be a game featuring Mario.

3. Grand Theft Auto V

Platforms: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One

Position Last Week: 5th

Grand Theft Auto V remains in the charts, moving up two places.

2. LEGO The Incredibles

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Position Last Week: No Change

LEGO The Incredibles stays in second place this week.

1. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Seven weeks; that’s how long the remastered Crash Bandicoot title has remained as number one on the charts.
