Taste the Fallout… Beer That Is.

Usually I find myself jealous of the Japanese or European market due to a new game being released exclusively in those territories, this time it’s over a beer. Yeah, you read that right, I’m jealous of those fucks in the UK over the just announced Fallout inspired beer from Carlsberg Breweries. And I don’t even drink beer, I just want to have a bottle to place on the shelf with the rest of the Fallout merchandise I foolishly bought this year. Fallout Beer is one of MANY Fallout licensed products being released along with the release of the highly anticipated Fallout 4 coming to PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 on November 10th. So far there are Fallout PipBoy’s coming in the CE version of the game, a Fallout themed Xbox One controller, a watch, messenger bag, limited edition art book, and a ton of Fallout themed figures from Mystery Minis and Pop! games.

According to the product description on the amazon.co.uk page, Fallout Beer is “a light coloured pilsner lager, with a refreshing zesty hoppy taste and a floral aroma” and “brewed using a unique blend of malted barleys combined with selected hops.” Fallout Beer is being made as a collaboration between Bethesda Softworks and Carlsberg UK, it will be sold in packs of 12 330mL bottles.

Bruce Ray, who is the Corporate Affairs Director at Carlsberg UK said, “This is something of a world-first. Adult participation in video gaming is a truly social activity, on a par with cinema and music.  We’re proud to work with Bethesda to produce a beer Fallout fans can enjoy”. No word of whether this product or a similar product will find its way to the US.
