Spyro Reignited Trilogy Leaked

[Update: Minutes before we posted this article all of the details within were confirmed, including release date and platforms.]

Thanks to a listing on Amazon Mexico and some inspired data mining details about the long rumored Spyro Trilogy have been discovered. The game is called Spyro: Reignited Trilogy and will be out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 21st of September. The listing was originally found by GamerStyleMX

According to the listing the game will feature all 3 original Spyro games fully remastered in HD. That would be the original Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. That’s “100+ levels, remastered with breathtaking graphical updates and improved gameplay controls.”

The original listing had the game priced at 737.04 Mexican Pesos, or roughly $40 US Dollars. Additionally, GamerStyle was able to discover more information on the title by examining the source code for the Amazon listing. Although not visible on the page, there is a link for the PlayStation 4 boxart on the page.

This discovery would inspire hungry fans to scour the internet for more evidence that the game was real. Several screenshots(courtesy of Eurogamer) and the video below were all found since the posting on Amazon Mexico was found. Unfortunately the trailer is in French. (Update: We’ve replaced the leaked trailer with the official one from the PlayStation YouTube)

One thing we were not expecting came at the end of the trailer. It would appear Xbox One might get this remaster day and date with PlayStation. An unusual twist considering the Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy had a full year of PlayStation exclusivity.

As with all rumors, take this with a grain of salt until the official announcement. Though considering how much seems to have leaked I’d say we will have the official announcement very soon.
