Rocket League Reaches 1 Million Users Milestone On Xbox One

Rocket League continues to be a smash hit wherever you play!

Not much more than 2 weeks after launching on the Xbox One, Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced that the Xbox One version of the game has surpassed the 1 million unique players mark. While this is not any indication that the game has sold anywhere close to 1 million copies, as the game does feature a two-player split screen mode which uses each players Xbox gamertag. It does indicate that sales so far have been quite well.

According to previous reports, as of February 26, Rocket League had already reached 12 million unique players and over 4 million copies sold across Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Should the players per sale ratio stay true to the previous trend, that would indicate that it is highly likely Rocket League has sold over 333,000 copies on Xbox One, which is really good considering the game has been out on PC and Playstation 4 for over 8 months. With the game set to have a retail release on Xbox One and Playstation 4 in the near future, Psyonix has to be thrilled that the game continues to sell extremely well.

Rocket League is one of the biggest success stories of recent times, with a budget of only $2 million, the game has generated over $70 million from game sales, expansion packs, and car packs.
