Red Dead Redemption 2 Coming to PC this November

Rockstar’s wild west epic Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC a year after release.

After months of rampant speculation the cat is finally out of the bag. Red Dead Redemption 2, the sequel to 2010’s open world western action adventure game is coming to PC this November. The announcement was made today via Rockstar’s newswire.

In the post, they spoke briefly about visual enhancements to the game including “increased immersion” but they also spoke about the upcoming pre-purchase period, in which if players purchased the game on their new Rockstar Games Launcher between the dates of October 9th and October 22nd, they’d be eligible to receive two games free of charge from this list:

All of these are classic Rockstar titles and are featured on the Rockstar Games Launcher. They are also offering a $20 discount on the special and ultimate editions of the game. Smaller bonuses include an outlaw survival kit, a war horse, a treasure map, a undisclosed cash bonus and 50 gold bars to spend in Red Dead Online.

If however you’d like to buy the game on your preferred launcher instead, Rockstar also stated that the game will be on the Epic Games Store and Google Stadia as a launch title. The game will also be making its way to Steam sometime in December.

The news comes after Rockstar offering a copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to anyone who downloaded their new Rockstar Games Launcher; people began to question the need for a new launcher, seeing as their last PC title was Grand Theft Auto V in 2014. This move of course fueled rumors about a PC port of Red Dead 2, a rumor that has been in the works for quite some time.

Red Dead Redemption 2 first launched in November last year to critical acclaim. It features a vast open world, teeming with life and things to discover. The game went on to win 4 awards at The Game Awards in December, and went on to receive 175 game of the year awards. Shortly after release, the highly anticipated Red Dead Online followed, and fans once again found a way to sink countless hours into the American wasteland.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One, and will be arriving on PC on November 5th 2019.
