Recently I’ve taken a break from gaming to get caught up on a few Netflix programs among other devices. Last week I purchased Pac-Man 256 (fun game, btw). Since then, 17 games show up in the Xbox store. Other than a Lego Star Wars and the anticipated Inside, I can’t say I’ve heard of many of the titles and almost none are triple A. How can that be? Other than E3 future announcements, June is supposed to be a quiet gaming month. What is The Magic Circle? The Technomancer? Lost Sea? 7 Ways to Die? The list goes on.
How am I supposed to buy these? Other than the odd game clip, trailer, and maybe a Twitch broadcast – there’s very little to help out us starving gamers here.
It seems that game sites are missing an opportunity here. Rather than another Destiny or The Division article, why not spotlight a few unknowns once a week to keep gamers with money to burn, something to shop for?
