Every now and then Steam quietly slips a price tag of absolutely nada onto a game; today, we’ve been blessed with Insurgency, a hyperrealistic terrorism simulator. Featuring 16 maps with 40 different weapons to deploy and use against your foe, whether it be the counter-terrorism unit or the terrorists themselves.
While the majority of free to keep titles don’t have a reason for their abandoned entry price Insurgency might be the black sheep. Next month, Insurgency Sandstorm – a sequel – is set to release which could indicate New World Interactive are wanting to give everyone a taste of the Insurgency experience to edge them towards buying Sandstorm (which is shaping up to be a really good game). Either way, it’s nice to receive a freebie.
Insurgency is free to keep providing you add it to your library within 48 hours; you can get it here.
