Although the story of the generation so far has been the numerous games that have been delayed across all platforms, that seems to be changing. With two games releasing in December after 10+ years of development, the possibility of that we will finally get our hands on some of these elusive titles is finally starting to look up. Among the heavily hyped games to fall prey to enormous ambition was Gigantic from Motiga Games.
A press release issued by Jayson Gegner, a PR Coordinator at Perfect World Entertainment, indicates that “Motiga are getting ever-closer to releasing Gigantic.” With a the MOBA returning to closed beta today and “ready for new and eager players.”
A developer diary was also released along side of the closed beta announcement shedding some light into the hardships associated with making games. In their first Dev. Diary, “Motiga gives us an inside look at Gigantic and discuss overcoming the hurdles of development.”
“Gigantic is a free-to-play competitive action MOBA developed by Motiga. Even though it’s gorgeously rendered, light-hearted and charming, Gigantic is for enthusiast gamers and pits teams of five heroes and their massive Guardians against each other in epic battles across a variety of maps. The game combines explosive combat with fast-paced teamwork, strategy, and skill, as players are required to work together and fight relentlessly to defeat opposing Guardians with spells, guns and swords.”
Gigantic is scheduled for release in 2017 on Steam and Xbox One with an Open Beta previously announced for 2016, though most likely now starting in early 2017.
