Sony has been doing an absolutely fantastic job this generation when it comes to fan service. No E3 has gone by without yet another long dormant fan favorite being revived. From Final Fantasy VII to Shenmue, and more recently Crash Bandicoot. Until now we were all mostly in agreement that the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy would be exclusive to the PlayStation console. The original trilogy was exclusive so it makes sense this remaster would be as well. Right?
The answer is not yet clear, but a statement from an official Playstation account on Twitter has shed some new light on the subject. In a pair of tweets earlier today, PlayStation Ireland said “It has been fantastic to see the excitement from Crash fans around the world following Activision’s confirmation that the N-Sane Trilogy will launch on 30th June 2017. To clarify our earlier post, it will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro first.” Wait, what? First?
Yes, you read that right. Looking back we have not found any evidence Sony ever once claimed this game would be exclusive. We all collectively assumed that it would be. Knowing how much Activision loves money though, can anyone actually say they were surprised?
