Ballistic Overkill celebrates one year on Steam with anniversary update

Ballistic Overkill is celebrating a whole year on Steam with its latest update.

Overkill has been around since 2014, originally existing as a Facebook game but made the jump to Steam last April, to celebrate here’s a free update.

The new update features a host of new content including a whopping 238 new skins for all 7 classes. This is a controversial move as players are crying out for priority on bug fixes. Alongside these chic new skins is the return of the lootboxes featured in previous seasons which will be a relief for newer users giving them the opportunity to loot the old skins.

Two female character skins have been added making a full collection of two-gendered classes. Multiple accessories can now be equipped on different body parts creating a vast array of combinations.

But it’s not all skins and microtransactions, the option to create a server has been temporarily disabled due to a “change in Steam’s servers”.

Ballistic Overkill is available right now on Steam.
