Today is a special day for achievement hunters; Stanley Parable, the 2013 PC cult classic can now be completed to 100% thanks to the passing of time – 5 years to be exact. The achievement titled ‘Go outside’ requires the player to avoid opening The Stanley Parable for a total of 5 years and today happens to be the fifth anniversary of the game, as pointed out by creator Davey Wreden on Twitter.
The Stanley Parable shot to fame after release, becoming one of Steam’s best gems. Playing as Stanely – a run of the mill office worker – you are dropped into an empty office with only a narrator to guide you through the weird and wonderful world of the Stanley Parable.
