Dead by Daylight takes a simple idea and presents it beautifully. This asymmetrical multiplayer game casts one player in the role of an unstoppable killer and four others as survivors – or victims. The Killer’s job is to murder everyone. The Survivors must outwit the Killer to escape the level through one or two gates. Killers can choose from a variety of horror archetypes, from the powerful murderer to the supernatural entity with mysterious powers. The Survivors can either work together to survive and escape or go at it alone against the evil that pursues them. The game’s progression system means you can customize your character to match your playstyle. Since the characters are played by real people and the levels are procedurally generated, every game of Dead by Daylight is a horrific surprise.
