The Xbox Game Pass debuts ahead of E3 with 112 games available.

Xbox fans looking to try out the Xbox Game Pass won’t have to wait much longer. If you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber you can begin using the new service today. All other Xbox One owners will be able to try out the service beginning June 1st, 2017.

Announced in February 2017 and first introduced to Xbox One consoles in June of that same year. The Xbox Game Pass is a program that merges Xbox gaming with the ideas brought forth by the EA Game Pass but on a much larger scale. Similar to how Netflix works, the Xbox Game Pass is a service that offers over 100 games playable for no extra charge to its subscribers. The program comes with a 14 day free trial and currently has 112 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 titles available.

Microsoft promises new titles will be added every month, keeping the games available fresh.

An added benefit to being a member of the service include an exclusive discount to games and their related add-on content from the Xbox Game Pass. This will allow gamers to save 20% on Xbox One game purchases and 10% on all related add-ons while the base game is still active in the catalog. Similar to Netflix, the library will change throughout the month with titles being added and/or removed from the service. Unlike Netflix, all of the games in the service will be available to download and play, not streamed.

No surprise that some of Microsoft’s most popular first party titles are leading the charge.

Some of the top 3rd party titles available on the service include Xbox One games such as DMC Devil May Cry – Definitive Edition, Mad Max, Megaman Legacy Collection, NBA 2k16, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, Saint’s Row IV: Re-elected, and the Resident Evil Zero remaster. A few of the more notable Xbox 360 backward compatible titles are BioShock 1, 2 and Infinite, Soul Calibur 2 HD, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and X-Com: Enemy Within. There are also a few popular Microsoft titles also available in the program likeĀ Fable III, Gears of War 1-3, Judgement and Ultimate Edition, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, and Viva Pinata.

The Xbox Game Pass will cost an additional $9.99 per month on top of your current subscription.
