Capcom reveals release date and system requirements

Monster Hunter: World enthralled console gamers into the New World, inviting them to liquidate haunting creatures that populate the continent; soon enough PC gamers will be able to replicate that very experience.

Earlier today in a blog post, Capcom announced a solid date for when we can expect to start slaying some monsters; formerly arriving Q4 2018, Monster Hunter: World is slated to release 9th August. Players can visit Steam to pre-order the game for $59.99, granting access to two exclusive in-game rewards:

Origin Set
The Origin Set armor is a nostalgic must-have for series fans.
This full armor set (head, chest, arms, waist, and legs) comes with enough defense to carry you through the early quests, and also features plenty of skills useful for gathering.

Fair Wind Charm
The Fair Wind charm carries a skill that increases your attack power, and one that adds a chance of reducing the damage you take. The charm also has a nice visual impact, as equipping it will add a glowing aura effect to your left arm!

Players can also opt-in to purchase the Deluxe Edition comprising of the following digital cosmetics:

Samurai Set
Layered armor sets will change the look of your armor without changing the properties underneath. Equip this Samurai set over your favorite armor to take on the striking appearance of a feudal Japanese samurai warrior!
Note : No weapons are included with this set

Gesture: Zen

Gesture: Ninja Star

Gesture: Sumo Slap
Enjoy three new amusing gestures you can use when interacting with other players in the game.

Sticker Set: MH All-Stars Set

Sticker Set: Sir Loin Set

Monster Hunter: World has been a roaring success, shifting 8 million copies, becoming the PS4’s second best selling game of all time, knocking Horizon Zero Dawn off its pedestal. Furthermore, Monster Hunter: World is Capcom’s bestselling title. It will be interesting to see if this success translates to the PC version as this will be the first game in the franchise on the platform.

Monster Hunter: World is out now on PS4 and Xbox One with a PC version coming on August 9th.
